DR. TRENT C. BUTLER is Editor of Bibles and Reference Books for Broadman and Holman Publishers.

He is a former associate professor of Old Testament at the Baptist Theological Seminary of Rueschlikon, Switzerland. He is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His Ph.D. is from Vanderbilt University, with further study at the Universities of Heidelberg and Zurich. His scholarly articles have appeared in Vetus Testmentum and Journal for the Study of the Old Testament. He is the contributor of the volume on Isaiah to the Broadman Layman’s Bible Commentary series.
