夏瓦拉斯（Mark W. Chavalas）
威斯康辛大學拉科羅斯分校歷史學教授。編有《Emar：銅器時代晚期的敘利亞歷史、宗教與文化》（Emar: The History, Religion, and Culture of a Syrian Town in the Late Bronze Age），並與其他學者合編《古敘利亞研究的新眼界》（New Horizons in the Study of Ancient Syria）、《美索不達米亞與聖經》（Mesopotamia and the Bible）等書。
